Unlock your creativity as you are introduced to learning the fundamentals of mixed media drawing, painting and collage. You will be guided by a practicing artist to further develop your skills and confidence. A fun and experimental approach is encouraged and media used will range from pencil, charcoal, ink, pastels, acrylic paint and collage papers with exercises to develop and enhance skills in colour, texture, design and composition.

By the end of this course you will have experimented with a variety of approaches in using mixed media art materials, learnt the skills of combining mixed media techniques in painting, drawing and collage to create an original art work and/or design. You will have gained an understanding of the principles of colour theory, design and composition, learnt how to apply colours and build tone and texture to complete a mixed media artwork.

This course is suitable for beginners or early stage artists and those with some experience in drawing who want to learn additional drawing as well as introductory painting techniques.
